Hidden Gem Entertainment News (Sean “Diddy” Combs) has publicly apologized in response to the emergence of a recently discovered video showing him physically assaulting his former singing protege and romantic partner (Cassie), during an incident at a Los Angeles hotel back in 2016.

CNN aired the distressing footage on Friday, marking six months since the R&B artist filed a lawsuit against (Combs). This legal action not only shed light on the specific incident but also catalyzed a series of similar accusations and public condemnations against one of the most influential figures in the music industry over the past thirty years.

Here’s a brief overview of the significant developments that have unfolded since the latter part of 2023 leading up to the recent apology from Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Cassie, whose full name is (Cassandra Ventura), has filed a lawsuit against Sean Combs, saying he abused her for many years. Cassie, who started her music career with Combs label “Badboy” in 2005, had an on-and-off relationship with him for over ten years, beginning in 2007. The lawsuit, filed in a federal court, describes Combs as very angry and violent, accusing him of severely beating Cassie. It also claims that he gave her drugs, forced her to have sex with other men, and raped her in her home when she tried to end the relationship in 2018. Combs, through his lawyer, strongly denies all these accusations. Ventura’s lawsuit was settled very quickly, just one day after it was filed. The details of the agreement are not being shared with the public. Combs said in a statement, “We have decided to resolve this matter peacefully.”

Early one morning, Homeland Security Investigations conducted raids on Sean Combs’ homes in Los Angeles and Miami as part of a sex-trafficking investigation. Combs was at his Miami home during the raid. Meanwhile, his two sons were handcuffed during the search of his Los Angeles home, according to Combs attorneys. Officials did not confirm if these raids were related to previous civil lawsuits, but his legal counsel believes they were connected.

Mr.Combs’ attorney criticized the raids as “a gross use of military-level force,” asserting that Combs’ is “innocent and will continue to fight” to clear his name. (Attorney Aaron Dyer) condemned the authorities for their “excessive show of force and hostility,” and for the treatment of Combs’ children and employees.

A recently surfaced video shows Sean “P.Diddy” Combs attacking Cassandra Ventura (Cassie) in a hotel hallway in 2016. The video aligns with an assault detailed in Ventura’s lawsuit, which mentions that Combs had already struck her earlier that night. Ventura was trying to leave the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles when Combs awoke and chased her. The footage shows a man “allegedly” Diddy, wearing only a towel, punching, kicking, and throwing Ventura to the floor. According to the lawsuit, Combs paid $50,000 to make the video disappear. Mr.Combs’ representatives have not yet commented on the video.

The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office stated they haven’t received a case concerning the attack shown in the video. Even if they did, the statute of limitations would prevent them from charging Combs, according to a social media statement.

On May 19, 2024Combs posted a video on Instagram and Facebook, apologizing for the assault on Ventura. This marks his first real admission of wrongdoing since the allegations surfaced.

“My behavior in that video is inexcusable,” Combs said. “I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I was disgusted then when I did it. I’m disgusted now. I sought professional help by going to therapy and rehab. I had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I’m so sorry.”
